Alli - Round #2 and a little bit of drama....

DUDE.

Mosquitoes were THICK last night and I know what you're thinkin'..."DUH {eyeroll}....water + heat = annoying little things that BITE."

Got it. Lesson learned. Won't do that again.

We headed out last night for round 2 with the very best of intentions. Cute outfits, awesome locations, everything we needed to get the job done.

Went to the Rose Garden first. Worked out well, but we had no clue the 5 or 6 mosquitoes we saw were just the appetizer (I mean, WE were the appetizer).

(See mosquito on her cheek next to her hair)....
Headed down over the hill to what I think is called Greenwood Lake? Gorgeous spot. Lots of photogs there doing what we were doing and no one seemed too bothered by the pesky little buggers. (Ha. That's kinda funny...."buggers").

ON A SIDE NOTE....

Professional courtesy as a photographer is to stay out of others shots and WAIT YOUR TURN. Goes without sayin', right?

Apparently I was the only one who knew this rule.

Standing in a cool spot taking pictures of Alli and another photographer and a senior walk by. Other girl says to Alli all excited like, "Getting your senior pictures done, too?!?" Alli - "Yup." The photographer then says to me....NOT.EVEN.KIDDING:

"Ohhhh, you're the moooom?" (heavy sarcasm in her voice)

Ok....that doesn't sound like much, but I'm tellin' ya. SHE MEANT IT NOT SO NICE. How do I know that? The smirk on her face. Like we were just "messin' around" and I wasn't capable of being an actual PHOTOGRAPHER because I was Alli's mom.

AS IF.

Those of you who know me...well, you know if took an act of God for me to not say something snotty back. I just smiled and said, "Yup." Like mother, like daughter. :0)

The other girl then said "OH!! I like what she is doing! Let's do that!" and PROCEEDED TO STEP UP NEXT TO ALLI, in my shot btw, and the other photog started shooting!

AGAIN, AS IF.

Seriously?! Who does that?

We walked away as the other photog was asking me about "how my lighting was" and other banter. Told her I was not having a problem at all. She looked at me with a blank stare. Yeah. I said it. I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. ( I sooo wanted to stick out my tongue at her, but I'm too cool for that....sometimes).

Grr....

We then moved on to take these GEMS....

Yeah...and just a few minutes after we left that area, they were doing the same thing. Uh huh. I know. Imitation is the best form of flattery, or something like that, but whatever. :0)

Back to the mosquitoes....

"That's IT! I'm outta here!"
Other random bloopers ('cuz my daughter is a NUT)... :0)

And...the ones that turned out....

I itch just writing this, but it was a successful shoot for the most part even despite the minor setbacks and snotty people. We had FUN and that is all that matters! :0)
